Self injury support groups and resources

There are many groups and services for people who are struggling with self-injury, self-harm and their underlying causes. This list includes self-help groups, services that specialise in self-injury and services which deal with self-injury alongside other issues. If there is no group or service listed in your area, do not despair. Many other local counselling or mental health services may be familiar with self-harm as an issue.

Bristol Crisis Service for Women

Set up in 1986 to respond to the needs of women in emotional distress. We have a focus on self-injury and have carried out extensive research.

CASIP (Cardiff Adult Self-Injury Project)

CASIP is the first user led self-injury project based in Cardiff for adults over 18 years, care givers and healthcare professionals.
