The Hidden Pain? research project looked at the perspectives of people with learning disabilities who self-injure. This is the first time a study has actually asked people with learning disabilities throughout the UK about their own understandings of their self-injury and what would help them.

This study was carried out by Self injury Support (formerly Bristol Crisis Service for Women) and the Norah Fry Research Centre.
