What We’ve Been Up to in March

It’s been a very busy month at Self injury Support and we wanted to give an update on a few of the things we’ve been doing:

Raising Awareness Across the UK – on 1st March our Director was on the radio all day from Peterhead to Devon hoping to reach as many people as possible –  listen here for our podcast of the best bits and let us know what you think.

Winning An Award – Self injury Support is part of a Bristol-wide Health Improvement Team looking at the issue of self harm and on 5th March we won a South West Health Education Star Award for the best team working on health education.

This was for the work we have been involved with in offering experience-led training to A&E staff and GPs and you can read more about this work here

Director, Naomi Salisbury, holding the award with colleagues Sue Dursley and Salena Williams

Getting Our Training Accredited – We’ve been running training for almost 30 years and we’ve finally managed to get it accredited so that it can count towards CPD points for participants who need to collect information for their continuing professional development – it’s still the same excellent training but now with an extra valuable certificate – to book training click here
