Naomi Salisbury - Director Expand I first came to work at Self injury Support in 2013 to run the helpline service. After working in community development and advocacy roles for over 10 years the helpline role brought all of my experience and passion together in one role, as a friend said - if you don't apply I'll apply for you!. In 2017 I became organisational Director. When not at work I can be found wrangling my cats and child, singing in an amazing choir, stewarding at my local repair cafe/produce exchange and then trying to work out what to make with the range of vegetables I acquire there!
Gisela Wrest - Governance Officer Expand Gisela enjoys office work and especially working for charities, apart from the 11 years when she taught skills to work in an office to disadvantaged people. For some years, she volunteered on a programme for people on probation to improve their literacy skills. Outside of work, she loves the cinema, theatre and spending time on her narrowboat.
Jess Puplett - Service Director Expand Jess has been working for SIS since 2019 and was a volunteer for the Support Services before that. Since 2020 she’s been running the Lived Experience Support Service alongside the Listening Services. Jess came to the organisation after finding the work done here inspiring and finding that the organisation’s values aligned so well to hers. Jess has a background in money and housing support and in her spare time likes going to gigs, spending time with friends, and playing survival horror video games.
Sian Rance - Support Services Co-ordinator - Digital Lead Expand Sian joined Self Injury Support in June 2022, after seven years volunteering on the helpline. She comes from a background in primary school teaching and enjoys collecting antiques, going to gigs and sewing in her spare time.
Murphy Pickard - Lived Experience Senior Support Worker Expand It’s safe to say that my mental health journey has been a roller coaster but working on myself in 2021/2022 helped flatten out the twists and turns a little more. I found Self Injury Support online and I have never applied to a job opening quicker in my life. To contribute to the system that helped me is beyond rewarding. Outside of work, I’m a creative bean. I try to spend my free time doing music projects, creating art, fitness activities, acting and spending quality time with friends.
Jen Price - Lived Experience Team Leader Expand I joined SIS in December 2020 as a Lived Experience Support Worker on the A&E follow up service, part time, alongside doing my illustration degree. Before that I was a young carer and then went on to become a Health Care Assistant during the pandemic. I have a passion for mental health which is often reflected in my art practice and I'm able to use my creative skills when supporting service users. Outside of work I love going to gigs, getting tattoos and chilling with my two pet tree frogs, Frida and Flump (also known as the emotional support frogs).
