Our text service will be open again from Monday, 12th February 2024. If there are any delays to this reopening date, we'll update this page, our social media, and our text autoresponse messages.

From the 12th February, we'll be here to speak through text every Monday and Thursday between 7pm-10pm. We offer this support to people of any gender who are impacted by self-injury in any way - whether it's something that affects you personally, or affects somebody you care about.

All messages are answered by volunteers who have received specialist training. You can talk about anything you want to and we won’t tell anyone you contacted us unless you or someone else is at risk of immediate harm and you give us information that could be used to identify you or them. We will never ask for this information.

If you don’t know how to start talking, just send a text saying “hello”.

We reply to messages during our opening hours. If you text outside of these, we'll reply to you the next time we're open. We aim to respond fairly quickly, but our responses may take longer if we're very busy. We'll update you if we're receiving a high number of texts so that you know our responses might slow down.

We're here to offer emotional support around self-injury and anything else you might be going through, and you can talk about whatever's on your mind. We aren't an advice or information service, but we can support you to make decisions that feel right for you.

You're welcome to speak to us all evening until we close. If you decide to stop texting at any point, we will respect your decision - you can use the service as often as you like, for as long as you need each time.
